I have lived and worked in Hampshire all my life and for many years I was employed by Eastleigh College teaching floral art. The knowledge and understanding of design gained through this, proved invaluable when I rekindled my childhood love of painting over 20 years ago.
I work mainly in watercolour but it can be tricky, so sometimes experiment with acrylic and enjoy the freedom it offers. Colour and texture are definitely the main elements of design that influence my paintings and I find inspiration from a wide variety of subjects. Flowers, of course, but I also like to portray aspects of local landscapes and buildings. However, probably my favourite subject matter is the result of happy holidays at home and abroad over many years.
I do hope you enjoy your visit to my website.
